Great Breeder - TKHR was awesome to work with. They were very helpful helping us find the right litter and puppy for us. Great communication and photos throughout the process. Great Puppy - TKHR matched us with Blue, a Black Lab. Blue is an amazing puppy - smart, athletic, driven and focused. Amazing temperament, loves to work, loves to play and loves to curl up on the couch and chill. Loves people and dogs, zero reactivity and fearless. Always the head of the class in puppy preschool class. Blue will try to climb on any obstacle asked - he's figured out slides, fire hydrants and the bathroom toilet, folding chairs and barstools. Everything you'd want from a hunting or working dog. When we're ready for another dog, we plan on getting another TKHR.
These are the most amazing dogs. Smart, healthy, beautiful and talented naturally. TK Hot Retrievers are 100% recommended! The owners/breeders are wonderful people that will be in my heart forever.
I have had Tk Hot Knob Creek aka Bourbon for about 6 months now and absolutely love this pup. She is eager to learn and work with a very high drive. She is also a very sweet and loving girl with a great temperament. I look forward to many years with this awesome dog. Thanks Jim and TK Hot Retrieves for such an amazing dog.
My wife, Stephanie, and I have 3 TK Hot Retrievers and we could not be happier with them. They excel in service and detection work. As professional trainers, we often use them and their neutral temperaments to facilitate behavior modification in reactive dogs. Our priorities for our working dogs are always social and environmental stability and these dogs have it in spades; coupled with their high drives and innate desire to work, they have made phenomenal working dogs.
